Building large models in SimEvents

Dear All,
I am building a SCADA network using SimEvents. My model incorporates more than 30 computer networks (LANs). I encounter problems building a large model using SimEvents and Simulink blocks. There are more than 5000 blocks and as I expand it I have problems saving the model. It crashes. I thought a good solution would be to use the Model block, so I do not run out of memory, but it seems that SimEvents does not support the Model block. How can I solve this problem? What can I do to be able to build large models using SimEvents?
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Alexandru

You should update your version of SimEvents to the latest release. SimEvents 4.0 (released Sept. 2011) better supports large models than previous releases, because of it's enhanced semantics. Model Reference support is not yet available though. Also, in terms of performance for SimEvents, you need to worry about more than just the number of blocks, but also the number of events, since both affect performance. In any case, the newer versions of SimEvents should better support you.
