There is no one single format for 3D data that all programs in the world use. What is your format? Who is the publisher of the software that made it? Have you searched for MATLAB readers for that kind of file? What is the extension of the file?

Dear Image Analyst, I wonder how can read a three-dimensional image in Matlab that has been taken by the Scanner device, which has format .xov. So It can open in (Geomagic Verify Viewer) software? I will be so grateful for if you can help me how to open the attachment file by Matlab?

First look for readers that someone has written for it. I don't have one but I bet someone has written one, or ask the Geomagic company.
