wireless signal strength data

is there any way to get signal strength data in dBm from 802.11n in win8? thanks in advance.

ok. i'm trying to take the real time data of wifi signal strength (not download/upload data) into MATLAB with any method from my laptop's network adapter. it could be a function or a code, doesn't matter. just trying to learn the possibility. thank you for all help in advance.

I have no idea how to do this from the internal network adapter, but you might be able to do it from a USB WLAN adapter if it can be configured as a virtual serial port. (I have no idea if the Data Acquisition or Instrument Control Toolboxes support them.) If you don’t have those toolboxes, you’re on your own in getting the data from the USB adapter.
