how to find 3 unknown from 2 equation by iteration?

*hello I have two equation but three unknowns.Is there any matlab code or iteration procedure to find solution? the equtions look like:

ax1+bx3=c

bx2+cx3=d

a,b,c,d are known and I'm looking to find x1,x2,x3 Thank you in advance for any sugestion.*

Assign a random value to one of the variables; it will then become an ordinary simultaneous linear equation.

There is no one "right" solution to a problem with more unknowns than equations, not unless there are additional constraints (for example if it is an integer programming problem.)
