Hello,
I need to solve the 1D wave equation with some particular initial and boundary conditions, I have seen the "pdepe" function, but I assume it is not valid for my hyperbolic equation. The case of the "hyperbolic" function is for 2D equations, can it also be used for 1D equations with any specific description of the geometry for example?
In my particular case the initial conditions would be 0, and as boundary condition on one edge I would have a specific function depending on the time variable. I guess that for the use of this kind of functions I need the explicit expression of this function. Can this be done if I only have a discrete function (at specific equispaced time values)?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ana
