add author's name to MATLAB files

I would like to add the author's name and information to all my MATLAB files. I found a function for adding copyright to MATLAB files ( addcopyright ), but I want to have the author's information in separate lines as well. Is there anything available for this? Any suggestions?

Can you not just add it to that function if it does what you want otherwise? The license file states you are allowed to modify the code for reuse.

I think it is possible, but I just didn't want to go through the details of the code, as I thought there should be something available for this, as there might be a lot of programmers interested in having it!

I am not sure about the legalities, but isn't it a bit difficult to copyright something based on proprietary software?

If you want to keep the software yours, you could always use p-code.

slightly on a similar topic, I wonder if there is setting to edit or change the "new mfile" creation that matlab does to input a standard header. sort of similar to what you can accomplish with the editorservices http://blogs.mathworks.com/community/2009/10/26/the-matlab-editor-at-your-fingertips/ perhaps the new with its custom text would be something that would do it.
