How approximate cone and cylinder?

Hi! Please, say how to approximate cylinder and cone having same axis for finding their crossing.Cylinder and cone are set by point with three-dimensional coordinates. I don't know this in matlab. If you'll answer, please, write simple, cause i'm from Russia and my English is bad=)
