How to change the struct parameters inside the user-defined function block of Simulink?

I have a 2X1 vector(Z) in workspace. This is fed to a user-define function block in simulink. After some calculations this vector is appended with a 2X1 vector, i.e., now Z is 2X2 and this has to be written to the workspace instead of previous Z. This continues. Can anyone please tell me how to do this?
