MATLAB Distributed Computing server hardware

Dear all,
within the scope of a research project, we plan to purchase a Distributed Computing server license with 8 or 16 workers.
For the 8 worker computing server we thought about: - 128 GB internal memory - 2 Quadcore CPUs - 2 TB HDD
And for the 16 worker computing server: - 256 GB internal memory - 4 Quadcore CPUs - 2 TB HDD
Does these hardware configurations make sense for 8 respectively 16 Distributed Computing server worker? Can somebody recommend a suitable computing server system?
