How to plot two different functions which have same variable?

i know that we can use subplot, but i wanted to know whether we can use any function which plots the second one on the z axis.. please help

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. By "on the z axis", do you mean you want a plot that looks 3-dimensional?
I suggest you check out the MATLAB Plot Gallery and see if there is anything close to what you want.
