How Use Genetic Algorithm to reduce the data columns

i have a matrix of 58 Rows and 289 columns.The columns from 1 to 288 contains independent variables and columns 289 contain dependent variables. Genetic algorithms were used to identify 30 variables from the total 288 candidate input set that have the highest correlation with the dependent variable .How i use the GA optimization toolbox to reduce the out of my matrix by 58 rows and 30 columns .
