How can I track, when the connection to the OPC Server breaks down?

Hello everybody,

I need to work with a OPC Server and to track variables from there. I use a GUI therefore and want always to see, if my Client is connected to the Server. Is there a way to get a special Event, if the connection breaks down?

The ShutDownFcn or ErrorFcn only work, if there is a connection to the Server and the Server has a problem. But what, if the Network is breaking down or anything else. How can I get an errormessage if this happens.

Would be great, if you have a suggestion or any hints for me.
