How can I split a matrix with connection data?

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi everybody,
I have a matrix (18x18) with connection results (first, meaning that I have the values one (1) in all coordinates with the same number like (2,2), (3,3) and so on). Second, I also have the double amount of values with (11,2) and (2,11) being the same value.
I'm therefore interested in a way to divide the matrix into two (and thereby only keeping the real connection data and only one value for each connection. Does anyone know how to do that?
Best regards,
Christian

It's not easy to understand what you're asking without an example.
Does triu (or tril) do what you want?

Thank you for noticing Star Strider! I'll try harder in the future.
