Shapes Recognition from similar Shapes

Hi,
I'm begginer using matlab and also in digital image processing.
I need help to recognize geometric shapes (triangles, rectangles, circles, squares) from similar shapes like this: Irregular Shape
After recognize it how can I print out the result with a message box or something?
