EEGLAB Out of Memory (Neuroscan file)

I am working in EEGLAB and trying to load a Neuroscan .eeg file (approximately 1GB, containing ~700 epochs with 132 electrodes) to run an ICA. I can't seem to work around the "Out of Memory" error when attempting to initially load the data. I understand it's a large file, but I don't want to sacrifice the complete data set for the analysis. I have manipulated the memory options in EEGLAB to no avail. I have also consulted the maximizing memory tutorials-Is there any other way around this without splicing the file? And without using parallel computing?
Thank you for any advice-
