How to use a temperature distribution from a pdetool as an initial condition for the same pde but in parabolic ?

I have plot the temperature distribution profil (as attached) in pdetool(steady profil) and I would like to use this distribution as initial condition for a parabolic problem(unsteady profil). The temperature profil is not even.

Is it possible to do so? If not, is it possible to make a function out of the triangular exported mesh of this profil, then use this function as initial condition?
