I want to draw circle and change the brightness inside of them.

Hello, basically I would like to draw a circle preferably on a plot, and to be able to change its saturation or brightness, or fill values. For example, lets say I have a sensor that could tell distance, and it its at max distance it will draw a full dark circle, and at minimum distance will be almost invisible due to saturation.

I also have a question. How do I keep my matlab application running, so that if I change a value inside of a text file that my application uses to determine the saturation. How can I make it so that my application will constantly run and receive the new data from the text file?
