How t make a mean on a time sparsed data?

I have a sparsed irregularly dataset in time (serial time), and I need to make a daily average of such data (ie somedays I have 24 data points and other I can have just 5 or 11 points).
Does anyone can help me on this issue?

Could you provide an actual example of this vector? Do you have information about how many elements you have per day?
