I recently inherited a computer at work with an existing copy of matlabR2010, however the license was about to expire. I tried to update the license with my existing standalone license, but I believe that I selected the wrong license file and now when I try to run matlab, I get License Manager Error -96 (License checkout failed). Do I need to uninstall matlab and re-install it, or is there another way to deal with this? For reference, I use Windows 7.
