Hello, at school we have R2014b but when I typed simulink in the command window, I got:
"To use 'simulink', use might need: simulink - Simulink".
As far as I remember, they were two separate products but over 10 years ago, Simulink became part of Matlab. Could anybody please confirm whether or not R2014b includes Simulink and some affiliated toolboxes?

Hello Peter, MATLAB and Simulink are two separate products. Your command window message suggests that you do not have Simulink licensed and/or installed.

In addition to Mischa's response: Yes, they always were different product, but I heard about users being under the impression it is one product, as certain Student Versions come/came bundled and you had Simulink even if you don't need it.
