Receive serial from arduino UNO in simulink, example?

My question is really simple: how do you receive input from the arduino UNO to use in simulink? I have a simple setup with the arduino UNO connected to USB and a potentiometer connected to analog port A0 and just want to read that value into simulink and view it in a scope. I have read many many forum posts, documentation and articles but I just don't get it to work so please don't reply with documentation because it hasn't helped me so far. I guess I just need to see a simple example. I will love you forever for an example of serial receive into simulink that works for Arduino UNO!
