After installing the latest Windows security updates of February 10 2015, the text in the MATLAB Editor and Command Window have become unreadable as shown in the screenshot below:

According to the following article on the Microsoft Website:

There is a known issue with one of the Windows updates which leads to "text quality degradation in certain scenarios". We believe this is causing the text issues in MATLAB.
