I have a student license and I'm trying to install Matlab on a Mac OSX Yosemite (10.10.2 version). Since I don't know how to setup the connection setting so I chose to do it manually using a File Installation Key. After selecting the packages I want to install and before the installation itself begins, this message pops up:
The application encountered an unexpected error and needs to close. You may want to try re-installing your product(s). More information can be found at /var/folders/qm/fbpjtrt90jsfkzcjq7rrfml00000gq/T/mathworks_Usuario.log
I'd like to know why this keeps happening and how to get it finally installed (Mathworks Account or File Installation Key).
Thanks

Then you will follow the same approach that Andrea did to get a solution. Doesn't that make sense? See Geoff's answer.
