Covererting a 3D image generated from CT scan into 2D image

Hello All,

I have to start working on my thesis, which is about digital rock physics. My first step is to convert a 3D pore strucutre into a 2D pore structure such that it can represent the prior 3D structure to perform fluid flow simulations on it. Coventionally a 3D structure is made from a 2D structure but what I want to perform is in reverse.Help will be appreciated.

You're going to have to explain this a little more. My thesis also worked with pore data in concrete CT scans and I'm still confused as to what you have/want.
