Gui issue: the content of the app remains empty/grey

Dear community,

I am currently facing an annoying problem when launching Matlab GUI from my workstation: the content of the window remains empty. This happen for the different APPS I found directly in Matlab or on matworks. This seems to concerns java gui components (buttons, checkbox,...).

A colleague, who has the same computer configuration than me, can launch these applications without any problem. -Matlab version: 8.0.0 and 8.1 -Java version "1.7.0_55" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.8) (suse-24.17.1-x86_64) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.55-b03, mixed mode)

I do not know what to look for and looking in google didn't help (I probably do not know the proper terminology to describe my problem).

I attached an example when launching the "Financial Time Series Tool" included in my matlab version (panel APP).
