Dalsa Genie camera hardware trigger problem with imaqtool: logging frame 2

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I am using a Dalsa Genie camera (gigE) via ethernet and would like to use MATLAB and the image acquisition toolbox to record movies. I want to use a hardware trigger to start acquisition and log the movie to disk. With a manual trigger, everything works fine, but once I change to hardware triggering, MATLAB seems to get stuck: It recognises the hardware trigger I send, but it does not acquire several frames, the message in the imaqtool GUI is 'logging frame 2'. It does log a file to disk, but the file does not contain a movie.
Any ideas and comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Charlotte

Hi Charlotte, I am encountering the same issue that you had. I was wondering if you have ever figure it out and could share some solutions to this issue? Many thanks!

Hi Iven, I recall that in the end I had to install the vendor-specific software and change some settings in there to enable hardware triggering. I hope that helps!
