while using the detectBRISKFeature, MATLAB 2013 is showing undefined function. Why?

Sanghamitra - if you check the release notes for the Computer Vision System Toolbox found here, you will find that the detectBRISKFeature function was introduced in R2014a (and so is not available in your version of MATLAB).
