I am not getting desired 3rd order fir discrete filter characterstics when try ti implementing un the loop.

Hi,

I am trying to implement 3rd order discrete fir filter in closed loop. Inspite of getting 60db i am getting only 25 db. Is any settings is required for implementing 3rd order filter.

But with 2nd order fir filter i am getting my desired result, so i am confused why I am not getting desired result?

hi , I am trying this filter through simulink, but i am not able to get 60 db through 3rd order fir filter .Is any trigger or some extra circuit required in the loop for proper functioning of the fir filter?

are you meaning the 60 dB reduction comes from the FIR filter itself or once inserted in the loop ? (in other words , you have a open loop with 60 dB gain target ?)

how does the FIR Bode plot looks like (have a code with freqz ? )
