Hello all, hope you all can solve my problem..
I'm trying to use addframe and avifile function in Matlab 7.8.0 (2009a). Before i run my program there's some notification below:
Warning: Cannot locate Indeo5 compressor, using 'None' as the compression type.
i went to the address that referred to solve the problem, but the answer i got is:
"Please note that Indeo Codecs are not compatible with any 64-bit version of Windows OSes (Windows XP 64-bit Edition for Itanium systems, Windows XP 64-bit Edition Version 2003, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, 64-bit versions of Windows Server, and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista)."
What should i set on Matlab or else,so that i could run the avifile function successfully? And how to set it? Really need ur help guys..
Thanks for your time, Jhovie

You are running the avifile function successfully. The message you are getting is a warning that it has changed to lossless insead of indeo5.
You cannot use the Indeo5 compressor with any 64 bit Windows OS. It will not be ported for 64 bit by the people who wrote Indeo5. Which is a closed-source commercial compressor, so if the company involved decides NO, you cannot change their mind short of buying the company yourself.
If you install the 32 bit version of MATLAB on your system, you might still be able to use Indeo5 from it long enough to produce the avi file.

Sorry I do not have the relevant operating system to test with.
You could try reading frame by frame from the avi file that you wrote, to determine whether the frames are all the same or not.
