Is possible a .vtk to DICOM conversion?

Hello everyone,
for research purpose i have to: - convert a DICOM to a 3D matrix (.VTK file); - operate on the matrix; - convert the matrix (in .VTK file format) to a brand new DICOM.
I miss the 3rd step. There is a function in matlab that allows to do that?
