how to use a point cloud in matlab

How can i use the point cloud generated by Matlab, in this example http://www.mathworks.com/help/vision/examples/stereo-calibration-and-scene-reconstruction.html?refresh=true for example to get the objects distances,to draw a plan view

Hi Nada,
The point cloud gives you 3D coordinates for (almost) every pixel, if you can detect the object in image 1, you can get the distance to it. Here's an showing how to measure distances to people.
