Query in Feature extraction in Lung CT Images

Dear Friends, I am doing research in the field of nodule detection & classification in Lung CT images. I have segmented lung region from full CT slice and have highlighted the candidate nodules, but facing problem in segmenting the nodule part and extracting candidate nodule features (2D Shape and intensity features). I have attached some images. Please spare some time and help me out. Thanks.

Sir can I know which segmentation technique you have used to segement the lung region and finally got above Lung Segmented.bmp image ,can you please help me in coding and also which code you have used to highlight the candidate nodules.please help me out...

To get various measurements from the nodules you have already nicely found, you can use regionprops(). See my tutorial on that: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/25157-image-segmentation-tutorial. It will walk you through it in well commented step-by-step fashion.
