MuPAD for MATLAB 2015a does not run on Yosemite

MATLAB R2015a appears to work correctly on Mac OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite). I can also start MuPAD correctly, and MATLAB continues to work. But as soon as I try to do anything in MuPAD, MATLAB stops responding and I get the spinning coloured wheel. Does anyone know what can be done about this?
