So I've downloaded a function called XLSWriteMEX off of the web but it comes in a format very foreign to me and I am not sure how to use it.
This is the function. Could someone tell me how to use it please?

I have used a few other MEX codes and in general they appear to be considerably faster. I would like to see how fast this one is comparatively.

XLSWriteMEX looks really useful- particularly because it can be used in a standalone app. Half ofthe comments on the functions page are people saying they're not sure how to install it. This highlights the value of Louis' question.
