I have a plot that has a linear behavior and this behavior continues for big values. I wanna make a plot that has dashed lines on a part of the axes so it shows that some values are ignored among the small values and big ones. is there any way to do that by coding?

This is the plot

As you can see the plot is a linear line at the end which goes to 1000 (even further:7000 in my plot as I have limited y axis to [0,1000]. So I want to put dashed lines on the y axis to show that some numbers are ignored between 100 to 7000.

Perhaps you would like the BreakPlot File Exchange Contribution

It works, but it is not fancy as i need it for a publication. Probably a code that makes axis line discontinuous in some parts is better idea. Anyway thanks for the file :)
