Asynchronous function-call subsystem to receive and decode serial data.

Hi everyone,
The last bit of work keeping me from testing my high speed autonomous passenger vehicle is decoding the serial data received from an IMU.
I get the following error
However the 'destination at output port 1' is in fact an asynchronous function-call subsystem.
Can anyone help me see where I am going wrong.
I have added screen captures of the model root and the subsystems:
