Hi all-
My problem is as follows. When I try to download the 2013a version of Matlab on my laptop, everything seems to download fine but when it begins to install the installer stays at 0% and the amount of time until install is complete just keeps increasing up until it's 2000 minutes.
I have an Alienware 15 running Windows 7 64 bit. I had a similar problem installing on my last laptop but unfortunately some no longer present IT guys fixed it and I'm not sure how they did that. Matlab installed just fine on my desktop, which is also running Windows 7 64 bit, just fine. I also checked if Microsoft C++ 2010 was installed on my computer, and it was not.
I appreciate any help/advice! Thanks!

You might have to disable your virus checking while you do the install; some virus checkers try to check downloads while the downloads are happening.
The installer downloads MATLAB itself and the toolboxes as well.
