Connecting an iPad to Matlab running in Parallels on iMac

Hi, I am trying to connect my Matlab mobile app on my iPad to a Windows 8 virtual machine running on my iMac. I have installed Matlab connector and started conector in Matlab. Using the IP address displayed, I tried to connect from the iPad, but it could not connect. Do I need to do something in OSX to forward the connection to Parallels? Thanks, Richard
