how to implement a whitening filter for removal white noise from a signal corrupted by colored noise

I am learning speech enhancement. I came across a theory that some component of noise can be eliminated from a signal which is corrupted by a colored noise by using a whitening filter and updating at proper time interval. Please help me how to implement a whitening filter for speech enhancement.
