Issue with using Input port blocks in If Action Subsystems

Documentation states that I can set the sample time for an input port block, within an If Action Subsystem, to inherit or -1. However, when I try this the block does not inherit the sample time from the input signal or block driving the action subsystem. The only way around this I have found is to explicitly state the sample time to match that of the driving block or input signal. The issue is that I have to do this for every input port block in every action subsystem I use. Is there a way to have the input port block inherit it's sampling time for the input signal or block driving the action subsystem?
