Why my check box from Justified column is not checked?

2 views (last 30 days)
Dear all,
I run a Polyspace analysis for a project. In code I have some MISRA warnings commented:
/* polyspace<MISRA-C3:2.4 : Not a defect : Justify > tag added to be compliant with 5.6 MIRSA rule*/
In Results Manager, I saw that the check box from Justified column is not checked. (see the attached picture)
In preferences -> Review Statuses, I have checked all the categories.

Hello Daniel,
You cannot directly set the 'Justified' checkbox. Actually a check (including a misra violation) is justified or not according to the Review Statuses in the Preferences (see the tab Review Statuses). By default, a check is justified when its status is either "Justify with annotations" or "No action planned".
In your comment you are using only "Justify" for the value of Status. You should change it to:
/* polyspace<MISRA-C3:2.4 : Not a defect : Justify with annotations> tag added to be compliant with 5.6 MIRSA rule*/
Best regards,
Alexandre

Hi Alex,
I understand.
Question: in Polyspace if you go to Tools->Preferences -> "Review Statuses" tab, in the lower part of the window we can set at "User Statuses" for the line with "Justify" the check box. Should I expect, in this case, that comments only with "Justify" will set the 'Justified' checkbox in the analysis results? This does not happen for R2015a.
All the Best
Daniel

Hi again Daniel,
the justification of checks/violations for User Statuses will work only with the GUI. But you can still use the "Justify with annotations" status in your annotation instead. This will be recognised and the check/violation will appear as "Justified".
Best regards,
Alexandre
