When installing MATLAB, it creates a folder in the download directory called 'Mathworks'. Is this folder required for Matlab to run properly or is it something that is only necessary during the installation? Can I delete this folder without any harm to the program itself?
(I'm sorry if this isn't the right section, I just didn't know where else to ask this)

My answer remains the same: you can delete the folder after installation. It is acting as a cache, which would speed up re-installation if you ever had reason to do that.

You can delete the folder after installation. The folder is used to store the package for MATLAB and for all of the toolboxes you request to download, ready for installation. If you had reason to do a reinstall you could work from there instead of having to re-download everything.
