Using matlab for optimization of abaqus simulation

15 views (last 30 days)
I'm trying to use the optimization tool in matlab to update some parameters in the input files for an abaqus model. I know how to use the optimtool with specific functions but I am not sure how to link abaqus in matlab. My function will be to minimize the difference in load at a specific link so (f=Xactual-xmodel) but I don't know how to use the new guess to update the parameter and resend the simulation to abaqus. I know how to run abaqus from matlab but I am stuck at trying to figure out how to stop the optimization and use the guess as a value for the simulation Can someone please help?
