I'm having an issue with the framerate of a VRML viewing being very slow. Previously, I was running simulations on a mac book with Windows 7 installed. Using MATLAB's bouncing ball simulation as an example, the simulation ran very smoothly with no noticeable framerate issues.
Now, I have upgraded to a much more powerful desktop PC and suddenly the VRML simulation framerate is very low with noticeable jerkiness in both the simulation and manually panning the viewpoint around the model. Below are the important spec differences between the PCs. One thing to note is that I am running MATLAB 2014a on the new PC, but 2014b on the old one. This is to ensure comparability with a QUARC software in the future.
Old laptop: Intel i7-2635QM 2.0GHz quadcore, 4GB Ram, Windows 7 32bit SP1, AMD Radeon HD 6490M GPU, MATLAB 2014b
New desktop: Intel i7-5930K 3.5GHz hexcore, 32GB ram, Windows 8.1 64bit, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 GPU, MATLAB 2014a
