How do I determine the cutoff frequency Wn when using the butter function?

I have accelerometer data that I want to turn into position however there is some noise I want to filter out. I wanted to create a low pass filter using the butter function but I am not sure how to determine the the cutoff frequency. I am sampling at 50Hz.
I am relatively new to signal processing so any help would be appreciated.
