I'm working on a Matlab standalone app- when I work on Windows, there is an option for a standalone application with console window included. I've been writing my App with this in mind, but now I'm testing for Mac. Where is the console window on Mac?

The title pretty much says it all.

I'm working on a standalone application for Matlab. I've been developing and testing primarily on Windows. I now have a workable version, and I've been testing on Mac recently. However, there doesn't seem to be a command window on Mac, which, at the moment, is essential to my programs usability.

Is there any way to open up a terminal window and have it function as a console like with a Windows standalone app and command prompt? If not, what alternatives do I have?
