Kmeans Clustering and clustering data over time

Hi, I want to cluster a set of data but also capture the data changing over time. The data shows change over time and I would like portray that and cluster this so that the cluster shows some sort of path over time. I would like to then plot another set of data (this can be called sample) to see whether the sample follows the same path of any of the data sets and how close is it to the clusters. Any code or direction would be helpful.
