merging excel files

Greetings,

I would like to horizontally merge several excel spreadsheets, located in different excel files (each file has several sheets) and in differnet directories. Each spreadsheets contains an array with a key variable for the merge.

I'm relatively new to matlab so a detailed explanation will be really appriciated.
