Simulink® Desktop Real-Time™ on Linux?

Why isn't Simulink® Desktop Real-Time™ supported on Linux but it is on Mac systems?

I am wondering this too; what's the difference? They're both *nix!

There is not one unified linux real time mechanism . Some distribution have real time features but not many .
