Can I use the same authorization email as my original purchase in order to re-install Matlab on my laptop after I have re-installed the OS?

My computer has unfortunately become corrupted by malware and must be backed up and wiped clean. Can I use my original authorization to re-install Matlab 2013 (Student Version) once I have done this?

Yes you can, provided that you did not change the hardware that MATLAB uses to generate the host identification.
The host identification on OS-X and Linux machines is usually based upon ethernet hardware identifiers; on those operating systems adding additional hardware (OS-X thunderbolt) or upgrading operating system (Linux) can change the identifying hardware in frustrating ways.
I do not know for sure which hardware is used for MS Windows. It might be based upon the primary hard drive.

Thanks Walter! Yes, this will simply be a re-installation of Windows 7 as was already installed on my labtop at the time I originally purchased and authorized my copy of Matlab. So hopefully I will be able to install the same copy again without issue. Thanks for the fast reply!
